the ACA helps the poor, which is great, but it totally fucks over the middle-class. It's a terrible bill and I still have no clue as to why UHC wasn't put into law, especially since the Dems had the majority in both houses at the time. Instead a law was passed that does nothing but keep health insurance companies in business, which is a horrible thing

Anybody have experience selling on Ebay or Amazon?
by EndofMysteries inthere are a few collectibles i am wanting to sell.
my concern is that if i accept payment w/ credit card, etc, that i ship the item and they either open it (destroying the value), or just lie about not getting it, or any other thing to cause ebay/amazon to chargeback.
i was wondering if anybody sells on them is there a protection for sellers and how often does that type of thing happen?

I would also suggest opening a separate bank account AT A DIFFERENT BANK for Paypal. They are known to take funds from bank accounts to cover refunds if the paypal account is short that amount.
Basically Paypal (and ebay) are evil horrible companies so assume they will do everything in their power to fuck you over.

I don't know if you all are familiar with Aronofsky's work, but yeah it's one of his flicks plus a big FX budget. It takes quite a few liberties in telling the story. I can't wait to see it.

Oh yeah his wife was really young compared to him. She also had a kid from a previous marriage I guess. I had the 'privilege' of working with him at Bethel. He was an arrogant snot for some reason. Fuck him.

Bizarre comment about jw.org at SAD
by sir82 inrecently attended a sad.. bethel speaker was gushing about the wt's embrace of new technology, in the part of his talk warning about "apostate" web sites.. a loose summary of his comments:.
"and the brothers at headquarters have made it very safe for you to go to our website.
in fact, the brothers talked to the folks at google, and they made a special arrangement so that when you type in 'j w period' into the google search engine, it automatically shows you the jw.org website.

Once again Blondie is correct. It's something that isn't widely publiczied but organizations can in fact pay Google to make sure their site shows up a top hit when searching. This is actually separate from the ads that often appear at the top of the results (which are marked as ads). So yes, it's quite possible that WT did pay for this in addition to the standard SEO stuff that everyone now does.
edit: JWFacts, Chrome is not the google search engine. The omnibar does save all that stuff, but the speaker was referring going to google.com itself and using the search engine.

dropoffyourkeylee: It was absolutely not a mistake. The magazines are all prepared electronically now so when they release the final copy for printing, the PDF/epub versions are made at the same time with little more than a click of a button. It was clearly revised after thte fact.
The WTBS said recently that the digital versions on the jw.org site are going to be 'up to date' and changed as they see fit.

I'm not sure where they all live now. I'd guess Towers and 124 for the ones still in Brooklyn. The rooms they have there are nice but they aren't anything super amazing. Think small apartment. Who the hell knows what they're getting at Warwick.
